Hi - I am a sea cadet officer/instructor who is responsible for new entry cadets (age 12). We have a male cadet who has just joined who has autism and I am looking for any advice as to teaching aids and/or methodologies to help assist in his training.  As cadets is intended to be an 'everyone is the same' environment I have been having difficulties in addressng his unique needs without singling him out from the rest of the new entry cadets which based upon research I understand would prove to be more detrimental than beneficial.

Any assistance and/or advice would be greatly appreciated as he is a truly enthusiastic kid with a great personality and I would love to see him succeed in the program with some assistance.
