MONDAY, JULY 23 and WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, 2012 / 9 pm–4 pm
at the DMEC, 4750 57th Street in Delta, BC.

In this basic Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training, you will learn how to:

  • Organize your thoughts on how to respond during a crisis situation.
  • Focus on alternatives when a person loses control or becomes violent.
  • Use techniques to control your own anxieties during interventions and maintain the best possible professional attitude.
  • Use non-verbal, paraverbal, verbal, and physical intervention skills.
  • Work as a team to resolve disruptive and dangerous situations effectively, safely and respectfully.

By participating in this training, you are building on the foundation of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® program and enhancing your ability to confidently and competently apply training concepts and intervention strategies to your interactions with individuals.
