Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® is a program developed by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). With a core philosophy of providing for the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security℠ of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies give service providers and educators the skills to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile, or violent behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care.

CPI Basic Course
Basic Course in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® program for re-certification or first-time participants.

CPI Parent Workshop
Sharing strategies from the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® program for parents and caregivers. After the workshop, participants will take away an Action Plan filled with strategies they can begin to use immediately. NOTE: The purpose of this workshop is not to train participants in the Nonviolent Crisis Physical Intervention® program.

administration fee

A non-refundable administration fee is required for all POPARD courses. This fee covers a range of administrative, preparation, materials, and refreshment costs. Tuition and instructor costs are covered by POPARD and the Ministry of Education. Therefore, there is no tuition waiver for this course.
