Functional Curriculum CD
The Provincial Resource Program for Autism and Related Disorders (PRPARD) is an educational organization based in British Columbia, Canada. Funded by the British Columbia Ministry of Education, the program consists of two components: PRPARD, which provides high school and off-campus school classrooms for students with autism spectrum disorders, and POPARD, which provides outreach consultation and support services to BC school districts and independent schools serving children on the autism spectrum.
|
The Functional Curriculum was developed by teachers and teaching assistants of PRPARD to meet the needs of students requiring extensive interventions to acquire those life skills necessary for living adult lives as independently as possible. The techniques provided on this CD can assist classroom teachers at the elementary and secondary level in providing a functional curriculum for students with autism and pervasive developmental disorders.
